The first day of Hajj, known as Yawm al-Tarwiyah, marks the beginning of Hajj. Pilgrims enter into Ihram and travel to Mina, spending the night there. This day serves as a time for pilgrims to mentally and spiritually prepare themselves for the Day of Arafat. It is a sunnah to perform Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers in Mina.

Day time in Arafah:

After Fazr you will be shifted to the Arafah Tent, Focus on your regular Prayers in Arafah.

There is no other day like the day of Arafah when so many people are freed from hell, The Maidan of Arafah is also known as the Maidan of Forgiveness.

Spend this day apologizing to Allah for you, your parents, and your family. Make dua all day for yourself, parents, family, relatives, the people of Bangladesh, Muslims all over the world, or as you like.

Please note that those who will take the A Tent service will be taken to Arafah on the early morning of 9th ZH and those who will take the D Tent service will be taken to Arafah on the night of 8th ZH.

Takbir al-Tashreeq

Starting immediately after Fajr salah on the 9^th of Dhul Hijjah, audibly recite Takbir al-Tashreeq at least once after every fardh salah, up to and including Asr salah on the 13^th of Dhul Hijjah (a total of 23 fardh prayers).

Takbir al-Tashreeq is the recitation of the following:

اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ ❁ اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ ❁ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَاللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ ❁ اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ ❁ وَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدِ ❁

Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, lā ilaha illa Llāhu wa Llāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, wa li Llāhi l-ḥamd.

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no deity besides Allah and Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest and all praises are for Allah only.

• Talbiyah is recited after Takbir al-Tashreeq.
• Takbir al-Tashreeq is wajib (obligatory) for both men and women, according to the Hanafi Madhhab.
• Men will recite it audibly, whilst women will recite it softly.

Talhah ibn Ubaydullah ibn Kariz I reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

Shaytan is not considered more abased or more cast out or more contemptible or more furious on any day than on the Day of Arafah. That is only because he sees the descent of mercy and major sins being forgiven by Allah. That is except from what he was shown on the Day of Badr. Someone asked, ‘What was he shown on the Day of Badr, Messenger of Allah?’ He replied, ‘Didn’t he see Jibril arranging the ranks of the angels?’
[Narrated in Muwatta Malik]

After Wuquf on the second day of Hajj, pilgrims move from Arafat to Muzdalifah. This part of Hajj involves praying Maghrib and Isha salah in Muzdalifah, gathering pebbles for Rami al-Jamarat and spending the night under the open sky.

After sunset, it becomes the 10th of Dhul Hijjah since the Islamic day begins at the time of Maghrib.

Muzdalifah is also known as al-Mashar al-Haram, which is mentioned in the Quran:

فَإِذَا أَفَضْتُم مِّنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ عِندَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ وَاذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدَاكُمْ وَإِن كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الضَّالِّينَ ❁

But when you depart from Arafat, remember Allah at al-Mashar al-Haram. And remember Him, as He has guided you, for indeed, you were before that among those astray.
[Surah al-Baqarah 2:198]

the Prophet ﷺ, would want to emulate everything that he did. Anas ibn Sirin I narrates:

I was with Abdullah Ibn Umar at Arafat and when he rested, I rested with him until the Imam came and he prayed Dhuhr and Asr with him. Then he did Wuquf with him, as did I and some companions of mine, until the Imam went forth (from Arafat to Muzdalifah). We proceeded with him until we reached a narrow path near al-Ma’zimayn, where he halted his camel and so did we, as we thought that he wanted to pray. His servant, who was holding his animal, said: ‘He does not intend to pray, but he remembered that the Prophet ﷺ relieved himself when he reached this place, so he (Ibn Umar) loves to relieve himself here.'¹⁶

Maghrib & Isha Salah

Maghrib and Isha, in the form of Qasr, will be performed together at the time of Isha.

If you arrive in Muzdalifah early, you must wait until the time of Isha comes before you can perform the prayers.

If Isha salah is performed first, it must be repeated again after Maghrib salah.

The third day of Hajj is known as Yawm al-Nahr (the Day of Sacrifice) on account of the large amount of animals that are slaughtered as sacrifices.

This is Eid day, although pilgrims don’t partake in celebrations as would normally be the case for non-pilgrims.

After Fajr prayer, pilgrims proceed to Mina to commence the rituals of Yawm al-Nahr. Here, they perform the act of Rami (pelting) at Jamarah al-Aqaba, the big pillar.

Following this, pilgrims fulfil the obligation of Hady by sacrificing an animal, followed by the act of Halq/Taqsir, where they shave or trim their hair, leaving the state of Ihram.

Subsequently, pilgrims proceed to Makkah to perform Tawaf al-Ziyarah and Sa’i.

After the Fajr prayer in Muzdalifah, we will take you to Jamarat for stoning (07 Stones) to the Jamrah Al Aqabah/Large Jamarah. After that, return to the Mina Tent or go to the Shisha Apartment, complete your Hady (Damm al-Shukr), shave your head (Male) / Cut hair (Female), take a bath, leave the state of Ihram, and wear comfortable clothes.

Afternoon go to Masjid al-Haram with the group leader to perform Tawaf al-Ifadha and then another circuit of Sa’ee as part of your Hajj rituals, after that return to your tent in Mina. Overnight at the Mina Tent.

Please note that, if you cannot perform Tawaf and Sa’ee on the 10th ZH, you can perform it on any day between the 13th ZH.

Proceed to Jamarat for the second day of stoning (07 + 07 + 07) and maintain each of the three pillars in order, begin with Jamarah al-Ula (the small Jamarah), then Jamarah al-Wusta (the second/middle Jamarah) and finally, Jamrah al-Aqaba (the third/large Jamarah). After that, return to your tent in Mina. Overnight at the Mina Tent.

Proceed to Jamarat for the third day of stoning (07 + 07 + 07) and maintain each of the three pillars in order, begin with Jamarah al-Ula (the small Jamarah), then Jamarah al-Wusta (the second/middle Jamarah) and finally, Jamrah al-Aqaba (the third/large Jamarah). Return to the Shisha apartment, overnight at Shisha.

• Masjid Jinn - where a group of jinn is said to have gathered one night to hear the recitation of a portion of the Quran by Muhammad (PBUH).
